Explore Ho Chi Minh

Take a look at everything I got up to whilst I was in Ho Chi Minh. From the places I stayed, to the activities I did, and what I missed out on. <3

Ho Chi Minh

Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, is Vietnam’s largest and most energetic metropolis, where modern skyscrapers rise alongside French colonial buildings and historic temples. The city pulses with life—motorbikes zip through bustling streets, markets buzz with activity, and rooftop bars overlook the dynamic skyline.

Rich in history, Ho Chi Minh is home to important landmarks like the War Remnants Museum, the Reunification Palace, and the ornate Notre-Dame Cathedral.

The food scene is bold and diverse, with everything from street-side pho and banh mi to trendy fusion restaurants. As the economic heart of the country, the city offers a fast-paced, cosmopolitan experience that still holds deep ties to its past.

The most convenient way to get from A to B is to take a taxi. Using apps like Grab and inDrive are a popular choice when in Vietnam.

When it came to island hopping I quickly found that 12GO Asia was perfect. The app allows you to book ferries and speedboats to get from one island to another.

Long distance travel was made much easier when I was able to catch a flight. The app I used was Skyscanner and they offered several different airlines with various flight times.
